Pathways to further support

If you are care experienced, estranged or a student carer and would like to speak to someone about preparing for university, or you are finding it difficult to adjust to your new environment, the Transitions team can help you cope better with the challenges of academic study and independent living.

Care leavers

If you have lived in local authority care and you are looking to study at ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ, or you are already studying with us, the Transitions Team is here for you.

Estranged young people

If you are a young person studying without the support of a family network, we may be able help you navigate the requirements of student funding applications, accommodation issues and more.

Student carers

You may be caring for a partner, family member or friend who is elderly or has a disability. We are available to provide advice and guidance as necessary.

Asylum seekers

Students seeking asylum in the UK are not eligible for government student funding and may be classed as international students for fee purposes.
